My favourite temperature is when you practically can’t feel it. You know when you’re on the beach in the shade in your bathers and you’re neither hot and sweaty or wanting to put on more layers but just perfectly perfect? Dunk Island in September is like that. Lying on a sun lounge under a palm tree on the sand, contemplating the ocean while idly flipping through whatever book I’d specially put aside for this holiday, I was sure I’d died and arrived on a postcard.
Seeing a city or a place like a local is usually considered to be the best way to get to know a place. So if you are planning a trip to Melbourne, my home town, here’s what I’d want to be shown if I was coming here for the first time.
